Keystone Helps Make Holiday Season a Little Brighter
Pomona, CA – January 7, 2008 – In recent weeks, Keystone Automotive Industries branches across the country, along with countless dedicated team members, have been on hand to help make the holiday season a little brighter for those in need.
Employees from the Keystone Minneapolis branch participated in a Progressive Insurance sponsored “Kids Against Hunger” packaging event. Kids Against Hunger, a nonprofit organization seeking to feed malnourished and starving children nationally and internationally, provided a mobile unit for volunteers to help package thousands of meals for children. Keystone and its team members also assisted with monetary donations.
“This was a great opportunity to support our community and give a little back,” said Keystone Associate Vice President Mike Smith. “We all found it a very rewarding experience!”
The Keystone San Antonio branch was also able to make a difference this holiday season with their donation of several parts to local collision repair center, Automasters, as part of a special project to rebuild a 1994 Honda Accord for a deserving family. Donated parts included a bumper cover, left fender and headlights.
“We are grateful that we were able to participate in this project,” said San Antonio General Manager Chris Naughton. “This was an opportunity to help a local family who needed a dependable vehicle.”
In Tampa, Keystone’s Coast to Coast International Wheel Division adopted a soldier fighting for our country. According to ISC Supervisor Mike Stichweh, “We want these soldiers to know that we’re thinking of them both during the holiday season and all year long, so we’ve been regularly sending letters and packages. The last package we sent included a disposable camera- we are really looking forward to being able to put a face with the name.”
